So right off the bat - the mood, the music, the sprites, performance - all is top notch. It's a very neat idea, and running around meeitng these incredibly messed up zombies is great.
My main problem is just how difficult it is to actually find your way. The map is particularly labyrinthine, and there is little way to know where you should be headed. Add to that that the zombies can sometimes only be dodged by luring them into another room due to the hallways being too narrow - and even then, I found them just dancing back and forth at the entrance at times.
The result was a LOT of deaths, which wouldn't be so bad if they felt slightly more justified. Maybe I am just blin dand bad at directions, that's possible, but it did get just as frustrating as it was otherwise fun.
But I can't put a finger on it stylistically speaking - beautiful stuff!
I really like the look of this game and the sound is pretty good too although a bit sparse. But this felt like one of the later levels in a puzzle game where you have to do everything exactly right, sometimes even pixel perfect, or you fail.
From the retro, 2.5D graphics, to the atmosphere, to the sound design, and the... creepy dark humor, this was a great experience. Thanks for sharing it with us!
actually really enjoyed this, loved the doom inspired ghouls ,felt that it was abit difficult to get around them but all in all great game! gameplay above if you enjoy if you enjoy be sure to hit that sub button!
Well I died, a lot. Those Ghouls can quickly overwhelm you and I kept ending up entrapping myself. Probably my fault, I think I led the ghouls back into each other and got trapped, in my defence I am easily lost. Amazing work on the Ghouls design makes them really stand out from each other, it feels like you are actually being hunted by a family of them.
Although another tragic end for another vlogger, he will never get his time in the light for what he discovered.
Fascinating and oddly fun! Weirdly enough, I have done my own VHS game and glad to see the different approach to the genre, every time. Of course, the style and execution is far superior to any other VHS type games I've seen, yet it is simple, gory, spooky and entertaining. I was not quite sure what to do, except I was just trying to avoid monsters and look for the exit. Great game developer (s) - can't wait for the next entry. Cheers! 💌

Unique and challenging game!
The sprites, textures and the overall presentation is fantastic, lots of work must have went into this. Gameplay is quite interesting too.
Only the camera effect could be a little less intense for me, but that's just my taste. 5 stars!

i am from pennsylvania, and i was born in 1984.
